REKA-PLUS cleaning fluid

To clean out “grunge” and remove mineral deposits, we recommend soaking the rubber sponge in REKA-PLUS before cleaning. The fluid is also an ideal addition to the instrument bath. After the instrument has been cleaned, clean the rubber sponge with REKA-PLUS to remove dirt. This will increase the service life of your Cleaning Set.

Valve oil

Tuning slide grease

Cork grease

Protectivespray

Sweat and oils in the hands contain various substances that chemically attack lacquered and unlacquered finishes, even when your instrument is not being played. This calls for REKA Protectivespray – total care for polished, lacquered, and plated instruments.

Sprayed on the surface of metal instruments, it cleans and protects in one step against corrosion from the hands. Apply it thinly and rub it in with a soft cloth.

Silver polish

REKA silver polish provides active polishing power. It effortlessly affords the highest jeweller’s polish with no streaks. A further plus is the oxidation shield which gives the instrument surface a “dry” feel to the hands, especially desired by flute players.

Cloth cleaner for the outer slide

REKA’s outer slide cleaner is a further component of our Cleaning Set for trombone. It is designed for easy removal of dust and grit deposited by the inner slide. These materials can act abrasively on the delicate slide surface, thus negatively affecting movement and eventually damaging the slide. Therefore, it is important to wipe the inner and outer slide tubes before each new application of lubricant.

Instructions for use

Pass the ball at the end of the cord into the lower outer slide (the water key side). Work it through the slide, around the bow, and back out again through the opposite tube. When it comes out the mouthpiece end, grasp it to pull the cleaning cloth slowly and smoothly through the slide. The cloth is washable.

Key pad cleaner to keep pads from sticking

Instructions for use

Remove the paper strip sized according to the particular key you are cleaning. Place it between the opened key and tone hole, then close the key with slight pressure. In case of badly soiled keys, repeat the process with a clean strip. These strips can be chosen to fit pads of any size.
