Flutes must also be cleaned and dried on the inside. Here, the head joint is the most critical region. Closed at one end, it receives the greater part of moisture and impurities from the mouthpiece.
The special absorbent cloth is geometrically formed to lie flat and press against the inside walls while being passed through the instrument, particularly the head joint. As seen in the illustration, the cleaner can be pushed all the way to the end of the head joint. Foreign materials and moisture can be completely removed with no chance of damage.
For bass flutes, the cleaning set is specially made.
